Wix Final Reflection

Writer's picture: Maxwell BarruetaMaxwell Barrueta

These past 10 weeks, I have acquired many new skills. Before starting this class, I would’ve never imagined photoshopping images like I now know how to do. One of the most memorable moments for me in this class was when we were messing around with different tools on Adobe Photoshop. I played with the “magic eraser” on a cover of “Peach Fuzz” by Tyler the Creator. On this cover, there is a patch of flowers and an arm right in the middle. Using this tool, I completely erased the arm from the picture. This was a EUREKA moment for me. I turned to my neighbors, Dagim and Dewey, and their jaws dropped when they saw this.

Something that I discovered was multiple ways to utilize multimedia to convey a message to a specific audience. Through Professor Sorapure’s tips, I learned how to address and implement techniques that help target specific audiences. I was inspired by everyone’s projects in the class. For example, an idea I never thought about was encouraging other people to travel. I recall that one student had a photo editing project encouraging people to travel to London. Here she had a picture of a UK trolley and in the windows, it had reflections of different places in the UK like the Big Ben.
