Social and Eco-friendly
One of the greatest ways to bond woth other students in a beach college town like the one I currently attend is through finding thiny sin comon. Volleyball has been one of the most popular actuiuvities here at UCSB. In addition to this, there is no additional construction needed for bech volleyball as you make a one time purchase of a ball, made of synthetic leather, and play on sand which is natural and timeless.
What you need
Volleyball is such a universal sport played world wide for two simple reasons. One is that it is cheap, all you need is a ball. And two, it is easy and fun to play with others. All you need really is a ball which you can buy at any local sports store for around $15.
How to play
Really all you need is a ball and can play on sand or grass. A net is optional if you want to get a game running but you can alwayts pass. There are three touches that you can do in volleyball which includes the bump, set, and spike. Furthermore, you only have three touches to get the ball back over the net.
The bump is the most basic form which consists of putting your forearms out, facing up in order to create a flat platform for the ball. This is usually the first touch after the ball has come over the net
The second touch is often times the set which does what it implies: it sets up the ball for the next hit which should be the third and final one. This touch consists ofcreating a square box facing up infront of your head to catch and push out the ball.
The final touch is called the spike which is when a player attempts to hit the ball as down over the net as they can in order for the ball to hit the ground and score a point.
